From a static angle to the full wetting process
A static contact angle captures the interface at a single moment. Advancing, receding and roll-off behavior on the surface makes up the full wetting process — the states DCAA-101 characterizes.
How contact angle is measured
Optical imaging records how a liquid or gas sits on a solid surface: liquid-in-air (CAL) and bubble-in-liquid (CAB) contact angles are both measurable; the dynamic process covers advancing, receding and roll-off angles.

The instrument: from full system to injection components
The full system integrates imaging, injection and sample positioning; the injection and sample components support automated bubble / droplet dosing.

See the same measurement in motion
The roll-off-angle example marks the tilt at which the droplet starts to move; the video records the same measurement in motion, and the software shows automated recognition and fitting.

Where it is used
Used to evaluate surface wettability and bubble / droplet interface behavior across electrode materials, functional coatings and material modification studies.
