WEBA-101 product overview

Product introduction

An in-situ observation and analysis system for water electrolysis and other electrochemical gas-evolution processes. It monitors bubble formation, growth, coalescence and detachment with microscopy and video recording.

Product functions
  • Full-process video recording and image analysis
  • In-situ monitoring of reaction bubbles
  • Automated bubble identification and size / count statistics
  • Bubble contact-angle and wettability testing
Application areas
  • Electrode materials
  • Gas-evolution reactions
  • Bubble dynamics

Gas evolution is too fast to read by eye

Bubbles form, grow, coalesce and detach in moments during water electrolysis; without continuous recording the process cannot be reviewed. WEBA-101 turns gas evolution into reviewable, countable image data.

The observation system: from full setup to the cell

The system combines high-speed imaging, precision 3-axis adjustment and fluid control; the visualization cell provides the optical path, and the annotated setup shows where each component sits.

How the electrolysis cell is observed

Microscopy is aligned to the electrode surface, continuously acquiring video of bubble formation, growth, coalescence and detachment; image analysis then extracts size and count information.
